Remembrance Day Poem
Poppies, Silence and Respect
We won the war, yet victory still held more guilt than glory.
Bullets whistled through the sky, a mother, a father, a daughter, a son.
As the carnage comes to an end, all of these people are put to rest
In a field of poppies, silence, and lingering respect.
The silence is comforting, the poppies are sentimental
May those who died rest in peace for eternity,
We will always remember them,
Lest We Forget.
I am posting this because it shows that a poem doesn’t need to rhyme to be a poem, I’m also proud of this because I used great word choice.

Dear Bree,
I agree with you about the word choice, you created a very powerful poem. Well Done and thankyou for sharing it. π

Dear Bree,
This poem is awesome and I agree you did choose good word choice. What made you choose the words you used in the poem? Your a really good writer and you should post more writing.
