ANZAC day snapshot ~ I Regret Pulling The Trigger

I’m Sorry I Pulled The Trigger

I stand before the war memorial, as I do every year on this day, all the traumatising memories flood back to me and become crystal clear, I remember it like it was yesterday.          I’m Sorry.

Tears are brought to my eyes as I remember all those people who died a painful death, the people who lost their husbands, their brothers, their fathers.       I’m Really Sorry.

I may be lucky to get out alive but every ANZAC day, every year, I start to regret it more and more…

I regret pulling the trigger on all those innocent people…

While writing this snapshot, I had used words and expression to draw out emotions from the reader, I put effort into this piece.

Feedback is appreciated!
